Our society has a very conservative thinking. We all know that according to Hindu religion especially male are prioritized than that of women. Women are not given much importance. So many people wants at least one son in his/her family. They keep on trying for a son rather than daughters. Moreover when they get a daughter instead of son they still keep on trying for sons.

People also have a thinking that children are gift of gods. So , people keep on bearing more and more children which results in population increase.

Hence we can say that social values and traditional thinking are helping to increase population
