Answer:

1.Orthogonal

2.Parallel

3.Neither

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to find pair of vectors are parallel , orthogonal or neither.

1.a=(-3,3,-5) and b=(-6,6,36/5)

We know that when vectors are parallel then,

\frac{a_1}{a_2}=\frac{b_1}{b_2}=\frac{c_1}{c_2}

When vectors are orthogonal then,

a_1a_2+b_1b_2+c_1c_2=0

\frac{a_1}{a_2}=\frac{-3}{-6}=\frac{1}{2}

\frac{b_1}{b_2}=\frac{3}{6}=\frac{1}{2}

\frac{c_1}{c_2}=\frac{-5\times 5}{36}=-\frac{25}{36}

\frac{a_1}{a_2}=\frac{b_1}{b_2}\neq \frac{c_1}{c_2}

Hence, the vectors are not parallel.

a_1a_2+b_1b_2+c_1c_2=-3(-6)+3(6)+(-5)(\frac{36}{5})=18+18-36=0

Hence, the vectors are orthogonal.

b.a=(-3,3,-5), b=(-6,6,-10)

\frac{a_1}{a_2}=\frac{-3}{-6}=\frac{1}{2}

\frac{b_1}{b_2}=\frac{3}{6}=\frac{1}{2}

\frac{c_1}{c_2}=\frac{-5}{-10}=\frac{1}{2}

\frac{a_1}{a_2}=\frac{b_1}{b_2}= \frac{c_1}{c_2}

Hence, the vectors are parallel.

3.a=(-3,3,-5) and b=(12,-12,19)

a_1a_2+b_1b_2+c_1c_2=-3(12)+3(-12)+(-5)(19)=-36-36-95\neq 0

Hence, the vectors are not orthogonal.

\frac{a_1}{a_2}=\frac{-3}{12}=-\frac{1}{4}

\frac{b_1}{b_2}=-\frac{3}{12}=-\frac{1}{4}

\frac{c_1}{c_2}=\frac{-5}{19}

\frac{a_1}{a_2}=\frac{b_1}{b_2}\neq \frac{c_1}{c_2}

Hence, the vectors are not parallel.

A square had a perimeter of 38 inches. We want to know the length of each side.
MissTica

Answer: 9.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Since a sqaure has all 4 equal sides, you can divide the square by 4 since there are 4 sides and it will be equal.

38 ÷ 4 = 9.5

Therefore, the length of each side will be 9.5. Hope this helps!

antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

2 quarts of orange juice

Step-by-step explanation:

If she made 1&1/2 gallons and, excluding orange juice, she used 2 pints (1quart) and 3 quarts that is 1 gallon (without orange juice) if we then subtract what we have from our total we are left with 1/2 gallon (aka: 2quarts) meaning we have a remaining 2 quarts of orange juice

Vidriana rolled a number cube 96 times. Her results are shown in the table, what is the experimental probability of rolling an e
hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

50/96

Step-by-step explanation:

I assume the table is:

\left[\begin{array}{cc}Result&Total\\1&15\\2&13\\3&16\\4&17\\5&15\\6&20\end{array}\right]

Even numbers are 2, 4, and 6.  The total number of times she rolled an even number is 13 + 17 + 20 = 50.

So the probability is 50/96.
