Social Emotional Learning has started to make major headlines.  It is starting to become standard in schools all across the United States.

Social Emotional learning is the much-debated concept of education including a child's emotional and mental status, instead of only their knowledge of something.  It is very much associated with Competency based learning.

It will definitely impact the world now and in the future because some schools are starting to redefine what education means, and what the role of a school is.  This issue is going to continue to become a more widespread topic of debate in the near future.
