The cartoonist who created the political cartoon "  Rough Sailing Ahead" was expressing his belief that the Articles of Confederation was too weak to be an effective form of government.

Further Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation was America's first government without British rule. This constitution was developed based on America's experience as colonists of Great Britain. This is one of the many reasons why this first constitution had a very weak central government. As shown in the cartoon, the federal government did not have the power to:

A) Enforce treaties (aka agreements).

B) Collect taxes- This made it extremely difficult to pay of their debt from the American Revolution.

C) Raise an army- This would become a problem when Daniel Shay and other farmers revolted against recently implemented taxes by their state governments. This was known as Shay's Rebellion.

These are just some of the many problems with the Articles of Confederation. This is why delegates from the 13 states met at the Constitutional Convention in order to fix the Articles of Confederation. After realizing that this was not a possibility, the delegates decided to get rid of the Articles of Confederation and create a brand new constitution. This lead s to the creation of the US Constitution we still possess today.

lapo4ka [179]

Answer:

When there comes a need for change, it is humanity's duty to pursue and make that change. zwe believe that these points are pretty s. That all people are created equal, that they are born with rights that can not be taken away by their creator, and that among these rights are life, liberty, and what makes one happy. To maintain and ensure our rights, we have constituted goverments, which get thier power solely from the people. Whenever any type of goverment is abusive to this power, or uses it wrong, it is the sole duty of the people to remove or replace it, and always have a new goverment, which is better in turn.

How do we remain true to ourselves as we move in and out of different communities, cultures and contexts?
Shalnov [3]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The way in which we remain true to ourselves as we move in and out of different communities, cultures, and contexts is by really believing in our foundations and moral pillars that were taught by our parents since we were children. We need to be convinced that the teachings we receive and the culture we had since childhood is proper for our lives.

Of course, we have to maintain an open mind to acknowledge that other people and other communities have their own valid culture; the by-product of their own history and customs.

And that is the beauty of diversity. To have many different things to learn from and to choose from. If we like it and find it useful, we choose it. If not, we discard it. But always, with absolute respect.
