Ancient Greek authors wrote some very influential things, some of which would go on to inspire Shakespeare's plays. Many Ancient Greek writings are still famous today- for example, <em>The Iliad</em> and <em>The Odyssey, </em>and <em>The Republic </em>by Plato. As or the modern world, Greek mythology has had some pretty heavy influence on pop culture recently. There are many series that rely greatly on Greek mythology; these include <em>Pegasus</em> by Kate O'Hearn, <em>Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief</em> by rick Riordian, and even <em>A Court of Thorn and Roses</em> by Sarah Maas.
