Answer:

The Potsdam Conference,

Explanation:

Leaders of the winning faction: Stalin, Churchill and Truman met in Potsdam towards the end of World War II to define the new order and a new global agenda.

The meeting turned into the famous photo where the tree man stands together despite their differences in ideology.

The world was to change since, the outline for carrying out the policies in Europea and the rest of the world would cast a "curtain wall".

A bipolar world emerged where communism and the capitalist world would collide.

The European landscape was quickly transformed into a series of blocs and alliances to carry out different visions of what they thought was the best model of politics and economics.

What was fashion and literature like in the 1950s?
hram777 [196]
1950s fashions emphasized fragile femininity, in the shape of soft shoulders, stiletto heels, wrist-length gloves and full, billowing skirts. Even working women's outfits hinted at fragility, with pencil-slim skirts and little hats with veil and feathers. I Couldn't find anything on literature, because it wasn't really a time known for its literature.

What inference can we make from Oedipus’s following line: “This polluting stain I will remove, not for some distant friend, but
Margaret [11]

The correct answer is Oedipus makes decisions based on the will of the gods.

Indeed, at this point in the plot, the Kingdom of Thebes has fallen to some kind of plague that pollutes the people and the fields, causing starvation. He has a prophet consult the Oracle of Apollo to see what can be done and the prophet comes back with an injunction, not a prophecy to find Laius’ killer.

Of course, Oedipus states that “finding Lauis’ murderer is self-serving” but in the sense that he is one with his people and that his people’s welfare is his own. The only unambiguous choice is that Oedipus makes decisions not based on scientific or criminal research but on his religious beliefs and these command that the will of the gods be obeyed at all times.

What did aristotle mean by the first cause?
sergey [27]
Based on my research, Aristotle believes that his "Prime Mover" is God. He believed that everything that has happened, every "cause", had to have a cause before it. Something had to cause the first cause. However, the first cause can not be in the same formula or be part of the same equation. The rules of the first cause can not applied to the "causer" of the first cause. God has no beginning or end so time doesn't apply to God.
