Since this question was posted in reference to biology, I'm going to assume you mean a model of a cell..? Anyhow, it provides a clearer visualization of the concepts that you'll come across, such as where certain parts of a cell might be or the size of different structures in relation to each other.

The answer is D. For producing recombinant, first you need to cut the insert part and vector part to get the same end by using restriction enzyme. Then using DNA ligase to bind these two parts to get a new plasmids.
