The correct answers are A) There were many times more civilian deaths in World War II than in World War I, and C) Many major advances in technology and medicine occurred during World War II.

The statements about World War II that are correct are the following: There were many times more civilian deaths in World War II than in World War I  and many major advances in technology and medicine occurred during World War II.

Great Britain had supported the foreign policy of appeasement to keep Hitler under control, but everything changed in 1939 when Nazi troops invaded Poland, World War II had started. This world conflict produced more deaths and devastation due to the new technologies and kinds of weapons used at the war front, including the atomic bombs launched over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan to end the war.

Why does tubman results undergroud trips worth this risk involved why or why not?
Lynna [10]

Answer:

Harriet Tubman is perhaps the most well-known of all the Underground Railroad's “conductors.” During a ten-year span, she made 19 trips into the South and escorted over 300 slaves to freedom. And, as she once proudly pointed out to Frederick Douglass, in all of her journeys she “never lost a single passenger.”  Harriet Tubman, too, believed that all men and women are born free.  Hence, it was worth the risk each time she made a trip to the South to gather slaves.

Describe the fluid theory of intelligence; then explain your views on this theory.
Allushta [10]
When you think about intelligence, what kind of tasks come to mind as ways of demonstrating how smart you are? Some people might show their intelligence by demonstrating how many languages they speak or by solving complicated algebraic equations. However, other people might show their intelligence by navigating a complicated subway system in a new city. Which person is smarter in your opinion? Psychology has offered many theories about intelligence over the years, including ideas about how there are different forms of intelligence. Some people might be very high in all the different forms, some people might be relatively low across the board, and others might have an interesting mix. This lesson focuses on two specific types of intelligence, called 'fluid' and 'crystallized.'
