Answer:

since the guy above me is smart, do you know the answer to the following question? :  An art class is making a mural for their school which has a triangle drawn in the middle. The length of the bottom of the triangle is x. Another side is 14 more than three times the length of the bottom of the triangle. The last side is 15 more than the bottom of the triangle. Write and simplify an expression for the perimeter of the triangle. i have posted it. THANK YOU!

also can you not use any images and stuff and just type? i cant see the images/ inputs... R.I.P

ANSWER

Perimeter=6x+15

EXPLANATION

The perimeter of the triangle is the distance around the triangle.

We need to apply our ability to convert word problems in to mathematical expressions.

we were told that the bottom of the triangle is x units.

From the diagram perimeter 4x+12+x+3+x=6x+15

Four times the length of the bottom will be 4x.

12 more than 4 times the bottom will be  4x+12

Hence another side of the triangle is 4x+12

Finally we were told that the last side is 3 more than the bottom, that will be x+3

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

4x -39 > -43                                            8x + 31 < 23

Add 39 to both sides                              Subtract 31 from both sides

4x -39 + 39 > -43 + 39                           8x + 31 - 31 < 23 - 31

Simplify                                                   Simplify

4x > -4                                                     8x < -8

Divide both sides by 4                             Divide both sides by 8

4x / 4  > -4 / 4                                          8x / 8  <  -8 / 8

Simplify                                                    Simplify

x > -1                                                         x < -1

You have to distribute it or use FOIL (if u know that method). This is basically factoring.
for instance:
(2x-9)×(x+4)
first: 2x × x = 2x^2
second: 2x × 4 = 8x
third: -9 × x = -9x
forth: -9 × 4 = -36

now combine like terms.
2x^2 + 8x -9x - 36
(8x and -9x are like terms)
(add the two together, which is -1x or -x)
2x^2 -x -36 is ur answer

now do this same method for the rest

sattari [20]

Answer:

(a) The distribution of the sample proportion is Normal distribution.

(b) The probability that in this sample of 150 households that more than 50% own a 4K television is 0.00012.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that in the United States, 35% of households own a 4K television.

Suppose we take a random sample of 150 households.

<em>Let </em>\hat p<em> = sample proportion of households who own a 4K television.</em>

The z-score probability distribution for sample proportion is given by;

           Z = \frac{ \hat p-p}{\sqrt{\frac{\hat p(1-\hat p)}{n} } }  ~ N(0,1)

where, \hat p = sample proportion

     p = population proportion of households own a 4K television = 35%

     n = sample of households = 150

(a) The distribution of the sample proportion is related to the Normal distribution.

(b) Probability that in this sample of 150 households more than 50% own a 4K television is given by = P( \hat p > 0.50)

    P( \hat p > 0.50) = P( \frac{ \hat p-p}{\sqrt{\frac{\hat p(1-\hat p)}{n} } } > \frac{ 0.50-0.35}{\sqrt{\frac{0.50(1-0.50)}{150} } } ) = P(Z > 3.67) = 1 - P(Z \leq 3.67)

                                                                   = 1 - 0.99988 = 0.00012

<em>Now, in the z table the P(Z </em>\leq<em> x) or P(Z < x) is given. So, the above probability is calculated by looking at the value of x = 3.67 in the z table which has an area of 0.99988.</em>

Therefore, probability that in this sample of 150 households more than 50% own a 4K television is 0.00012.
