Solve using quadratic formula 5x^2-4x+3=0

Mathematics
1 answer:
Semenov [28]3 years ago
3 0

Answer:

Impossible

Step-by-step explanation:

In 5x^2-4x+3=0, standard form, substitute these values in the quadratic formula:

a = 5; b = -4; c = 3

The quadratic formula is x = \frac{ -b ± \sqrt{b^{2} - 4ac}}{2a}

(ignore the weird capital A)

Substitute a b and c:

x = \frac{-(-4) ± \sqrt{(-4)^{2} - 4(5)(3)}}{2(5)}

Simplify:

x = \frac{4) ± \sqrt{16 - 60}}{10}

Because \sqrt{16-60} is the square root of a negative number, the answer would be imaginary.

Therefore, there are not solutions to this equation.

A solution is the same as the roots or zeroes, where the graph would cross the x-axis when graphed.

The graph never meets the x-axis. It looks like this:

Use the information given in the diagram. Tell why UW=UW and UVW=WXU.
kow [346]

Answer:

The correct option is D.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the figure in which UV=XW, UX=VW and ∠UXW=∠UVW.

We have to tell why UW=UW and ∠UVW=∠WXU.

As the reflexive property of equality states that a value is equal to itself.

Hence, in quadrilateral UVWX,

UW is equal to UW by reflexive property

∠UVW=∠WXU as given

hence, UW=UW and ∠UVW=∠WXU by reflexive property and given in diagram.

The correct option is d)

The linear density of a rod of length 4 m is given by rho(x) = 6 + 5 x measured in kilograms per meter, where x is measured in m
Afina-wow [57]

Answer:

M(t) = 64 Kgs

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the total mass of the rod, we have to integrate the expression

M(x) = ∫₀⁴ rho(x)*dx

Where rho (x)  =  6  + 5*x   in Kgs /m

M(x) = ∫₀⁴ ( 6  +  5*x ) dx   ⇒ M(x) = ∫₀⁴  6 dx   +  ∫₀⁴ 5*x dx

M(x) = 6x |₀⁴    +  5* x²/2  |₀⁴

M(x) = 6( 4 - 0 )  + 5/2  ( 16 - 0 )

M(x) = 24 + 40  Kgs

M(t) = 64 Kgs

Alisha has a $15,000 car loan with a 6 percent interest rate that is compounded annually. How much will she have paid at the end
lesantik [10]

I have another total loan payment formula (see attached):

Total = rate * principal * # of payments / (1-((1 + rate)^-n))

Total = .005 * 15,000 * 60 / (1- ((1.005)^-60)

Total = 4,500 / (1 -0.7413721962)

Total = 4,500 / 0.2586278038

Total = 17,399.52

I know that is NOT one of the answers but I am sure of the formula and the calculations.   I hope this helps.
