How did U.S. Economic policies contribute to the change in the gross national product from 1927 to 1934?
lakkis [162]

The years prior to 1929 were affluent and optimistic; there was a general belief that stock markets would continue to grow indefinitely, and speculation was rampant. Nevertheless, this was not the case, and a great economic crash occurred in October 29, 1929, also known as Black Tuesday. Billions of dollars were lost. It marked the beginning of the great economic downfall known as “The Great Depression”, that lasted until 1939.The president of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, created multiple agencies and promoted public policies to address the problem of poverty and unemployment. To sum up, there was an initial era of total deregulation (the 20s), followed by a great economic depression, which led to interventionist policies and the final recovery of the American economy.

Describe how people from the South, Northeast, and West felt about going to war with Britain.
mr Goodwill [35]
Answer;
They felt that they were fairly apprehended due to limited amount of supplies and army. Additionally the people in Northeast had business ties with Britain, therefore it was hard for them to go to war with their business partners. Again the people from the west and south felt and considered it a problem of the north.
The northern states were heavily involved in international trade, having the ports and ship building yards. The men who sailed on those ships were likewise mostly from the north and were the ones being impressed into the British navy. The agrarian south's interests lay entirely in the production of tobacco, cotton, sugar, sorghum and a few other large cash crops. The commerce was mostly within America and they had little interest in shipping issues.
