(cosx)(cscx) = cotx
cscx = 1/sinx
(cosx)(1/sinx) = (cosx/sinx)
cosx/sinx = cotx

Basically, I noticed that cscx is equivalent to 1 divided by sinx, and then multiplied that fraction by cosx, which got me cosx/sinx. Your quotient identities will tell you that cosx/sinx = cotx

Sara needs to take a taxi to get to the movies. The taxi charges $4.75 for the first mile, and then $2.25 for each mile after th
Papessa [141]

Answer: 6 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, we are informed that the taxi charges $4.75 for the first mile, and then $2.25 for each mile after that and that the total charge is $18.25.

The distance of Sara's taxi ride to the movie would be:

4.75 + 2.25m = 18.25

where,

m = number of miles

4.75 + 2.25m = 18.25

2.25m = 18.25 - 4.75

2.25m = 13.5

m = 13.5 / 2.25

m = 6 miles

The answer is 6 miles.

Answer:

I'm not 100% correct but this is what I believe proportionality is where k=y/x and k is proportionality constant

$6.57: 3 pounds of orange

y dollar: x pounds of orange

so the proportion

$6.57 y

_____ = _____

3 x

6.57×
