It is actually the component of a 30S ribosomal subunit that is responsible for recognition of a Shine-Dalgarno sequence on an m

RNA. Which one of the sequences in the 16S rRNA would you predict is responsible for the interaction between a small subunit and mRNA?

Answer:

The sequence in the 16S rRNA would be 3'UCCUCCA5'.

Explanation:

In prokaryotes, the initiation process starts with the binding of small subunit and large subunit of ribosome on the ribosomal binding site present on mRNA. The ribosomal binding site in prokaryotes include initiation codon and an upstream sequence called Shine-Dalgarno sequence(5'AGGAGGU3').

So 16S rRNA which is the component of 30S rRNA have a complementary sequence for shine-Dalgarno sequence which is responsible for recognizing the shine-Dalgarno sequence on mRNA and binding of small subunit on the mRNA.

Therefore 3'UCCUCCA5' is the complementary sequence in the 16S rRNA which is responsible for the interaction between a small subunit and mRNA.

What is the mass percent of hydrogen in ammonium phosphate, (NHÁ)ÀPOÁ?
Black_prince [1.1K]
The chemical formula of ammonium phosphate is (NH4)3PO4. There is 3*4=12 Hydrogen atom in one molecule ammonium phosphate. The total mass of one molecule is (14+4)*3+31+16*4=149. The mass of hydrogen atoms in one molecule is 3*4=12. So the mass percent of hydrogen is 12/149*100%=8.05%

True or false: In many cases, biology can be descriptive, i.e. scientists are attempting to describe something as completely as
Georgia [21]

Answer: True

Explanation:

Biology itself is the study of living things and their vital processes that deals with all the physicochemical aspects of life.

Biologists attempt in all way to describe something completely in detailed. They try to explain reasons and how organism behave how the behave.

Using descriptive science biologists involve descriptive research; that is, observing, recording, describing, and classifying biological phenomena.
