Answer: Option 2 is correct

x^3-5x^2+8x-6

Explanation:

We have been given two functions f(x)=x^2-2x+2 \\\\and\\g(x)=x-3

we need to find f(x).g(x)

We need to multiply the given two functions

So, as to multiply (x^2-2x+2)(x-3)

Multiply each term of f(x) with g(x) we will get

x^2(x-3)=x^3-3x^2

-2x(x-3)=-2x^2+6x

2(x-3)=2x-6

Hence the final result after multiplying both the functions is

x^3-5x^2+8x-6

f(x) = x2 - 2x + 2
g(x) = x - 3

(f • g)(x) = (x2 - 2x + 2)(x - 3)
(f • g)(x) = x2(x - 3) - 2x(x - 3) + 2(x - 3)
(f • g)(x) = x3 - 3x2 - 2x2 + 6x + 2x - 6
(f • g)(x) = x3 - 5x2 + 8x - 6

The answer is B.

Can someone explain the answer for me? I am seeming to not get it.
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

(-4,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Reflection in the y-axis- if we are only focusing on A then you have to make the x negative:

                           A (-4,1)     A' (4,1)

2. Reflection in the x-axis- make the y negative in the point A:

                          A' (4,1)    A'' (4,-1)

3. Rotate 180 degrees- (x,y) rotated 180 degrees is (-x,-y):

                           A" (4, -1)      A'''(-4, 1)

side note: if 1 is already negative than two negatives make a positive, which is why -1 becomes 1 after the 180 degree rotation

umka21 [38]
Her first rate was faster. The 10 minutes with a change in elevation of -200ft.
In order to solve this you need to have the same minutes. In this problem, I just simply took the 10 minutes and the -200ft and doubled it. Now both rates have 20 minutes. The first rate would have gone -400ft in 20 minutes while the second rate was only -300ft in 20 minutes. I hope this wasn't confusing, and I'm willing to explain more.
