Viruses are infectious micro-organisms that require something to attack/ be on to survive and multiply. When one enters your body, it invades and takes over cells, redirecting them to produce more of the virus. When our bodies come under attack from a viral infection they launch a defence known as 'the immune response'. Our immune system is designed to recognise the cells that make up our bodies and make sure invaders like viruses are killed

I wouldnt say a vaccine destroys a virus. it is supposed to give a small dosage of the virus so the immnune system fights it off and recongnises it in the future

What are embryonic stem cells?

The embryonic stem cells are cells obtained from embryos that have the property to divide and specialize into different tissues.

The embryonic stem cells can be differentiated in the laboratory for the development of specific cell lineages.

The therapy using embryonic stem cells involves the use of these types of cells and the destruction of an embryo.
