The correct answer is "Congress was able to override a presidential veto of the act."

The War Powers Act was a federal law that limits the ability of the president to commit the US military. Thanks to this law, the US president cannot commit the US to an armed conflict unless he/she has Congressional approval. Even though President Richard Nixon tried to stop this law from happening by vetoing it, Congress overrode this veto with a 2/3rds vote in each part of Congress to ensure that it became a law.

Mrac [35]

Answer:

First, the President must nominate someone to become a Justice on the United States Supreme Court when there is a vacancy. Then, the Senate must  confirm the nomination with a majority vote.

Explanation:

There are no qualifications listed by the Constitution for becoming a Justice. The only steps one has to go through is the nomination and Senate confirmation.

However, in practice, having experience in law is a requirement as all previous Justices have been trained in law, even if they didn't go to law school.
