Answer:

Option 4 : 16+24i

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a circle has a diameter with end points at(15+25i) and (-25-17i)

Centre would be the mid point of these two points

Centre = (\frac{15-25}{2} ,\frac{25-17}{2} )\\= -5+4i

Out of given four points to find which point lies on the circle

If a point lies on the circle then it would have distance from centre equal to radius.

Radius = distance between two given points/2

=\frac{1}{2} \sqrt{(15+25)^2+(25+17)^2} \\=\frac{58}{2} \\=29

Let us calculate distance form each point.

i)-15+2i:  distance from -5+4i= 10.19

ii) 0+0i : distance from -5+4i = 6.40

iii) 15+17i :  Distance from -5+4i = 23.85

iv) 16+24i: distance from -5+4i= 29

Hence only 4th point lies on the circle

6 cube shapes with sides ranging in whole numbers from 2 feet to 7 feet:
S1 = 2 feet, S2 = 3 feet, S3 = 4 feet, S4 = 5 feet, S5 = 6 feet, S6 = 7 feet
V(s)1 = (S1)^3 = (2)^3 = 8 cubic feet
V(s)2 = (S2)^3 = (3)^3 = 27 cubic feet
V(s)3 = (S3)^3 = (4)^3 = 64 cubic feet
V(s)4 = (S4)^3 = (5)^3 = 125 cubic feet
V(s)5 = (S5)^3 = (6)^3 = 216 cubic feet
V(s)6 = (S6)^3 = (7)^3 = 343 cubic feet

A casino wants to offer a new game with (potentially) spectacular prizes:The player flips a fair coin until they flip heads.The
MissTica

Answer:

The casino should charge for this game at least $1 to break even.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can define the prize function as

M(n)=2^{ n+1}

where M is the prize money and n is the number of tails in continous flips.

The probability of n consecutive tails can be calculated as p^n=0.5^n. The probaility of getting a head after the n consecutive tails is p=0.5, so the probability of having n consecutive tails and a head is p^{n+1}=0.5^{n+1}

Then we can calculate the expected value of M as

E(M)=p_i*M_i=(0.5)^{n+1}*2^{n+1}=1^{n+1}=1

The expected money prize for this game is $1, so the casino should charge to play at least $1 to break even.
