Answer:

The answer is letter a, trust vs. mistrust.

Explanation:

Erik Erikson- He is a popular German-American developmental psychologist and psychoanalyst. He developed the <u>"Stages of Psychosocial Development."</u> The theory focuses on <em>the impact that external factors have on the a person's personality development from childhood until adulthood. </em>It consists of 8 stages, but we will be focusing only on the first stage.

The First Stage: Trust vs. Mistrust

According to Erikson, this pyschosocial stage occurs between birth and one year of age (approximately 18 months of age). He considers it to be <em>the most fundamental and significant stage. </em>The infant is highly dependent at this stage especially on his caregivers. The quality of care is very important in order to meet the infant's needs. If the needs are met, then the infant will develop a sense of basic trust. If the needs are not met, then the infant will develop mistrust, suspicion and even anxiety.

It is very essential to provide a consistent and reliable care in order for infants to feel secure during this stage.

One way for people to break the vicious cycle of depression is to:
astraxan [27]

The correct answer is C. Participate more often in activities they consider pleasant and rewarding.

Explanation:

Depression is a common mental issue that affects an individual's mood. As a result, the individual experiences permanent negative feelings such as sadness or lack of interest. This leads to a vicious cycle that involves negative thoughts and feelings that lead to a lack of interest and participation in activities, then this leads to feelings of guilt that leads to sleeping issues, and this causes negative thoughts and feelings.

Due to this, one of the ways to break this cycle is to "participate more often in activities they consider pleasant and rewarding" because in this way interest is recovered and therefore feelings of guilt disappear which breaks the cycle and leads to less sleeping issues and negative thoughts/feelings.
