Answer:

The place in the government for the nobles, high churchmen and the knights in the first parliament was the House of Lords.

Explanation:

The House of Lords is the upper house of the UK Parliament. Parliament also includes the British Crown and the House of Commons. The House of Lords does not have a set number of members, but currently has 760 lords. It is an unelected body, made up of 2 archbishops and 24 bishops of the Anglican Church (Spiritual Lords), and 734 members of the British nobility (Temporal Lords). The Spiritual Lords remain in office as long as they occupy their ecclesiastical functions, while the Temporal Lords are for life. Members of the House of Lords are sometimes called Lords of Parliament.

The House of Lords was established in the fourteenth century. It was abolished in 1649 by the revolutionary government that took power during the English Civil War, but was restored in 1660. The House of Lords was more powerful than the elected House of Commons. But since the nineteenth century, the powers of the House of Lords have begun to decline: the upper house is much less relevant today than its elected counterpart.

The __ spread troughout southern Africa below the equator during the classical era. A. Assyrian Empire
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

B. Bantu Peoples

Explanation:

During the classical era, the Bantu peoples started to migrate from their homeland in the eastern part of Western Africa. The growing population needed more resources, and the Bantu tribes started to move towards areas that provided more resources, both for them and for raising cattle. Since on the north it was the Sahel and Sahara, the Bantu peoples moved south, below the equator. This part of Africa was largely dominated by savanna, which had an abundance of animals for hunting, as well as vast grasslands for the cattle to graze. Little by little, the Bantu peoples were taking over more and more territory, becoming gradually the largest ethnic group in Africa, and managing to reach the southernmost and easternmost coastlines of the continent.

What advice does Henry’s former slave master give him when he frees him what do you think his motive is in giving such advice
boyakko [2]

In Henry Adams' account, he talks about how difficult it was for slaves to exercise their freedom after the Emancipation Proclamation. He tells us that his master had brought the former slaves together and suggested that they should stay with him. He told them that other white people were angry about emancipation, and would be cruel to them, or might even kill them. He also told them that it was better to stay with the people that knew them and had "raised" them. In this way, he convinced the slaves to stay.

The motivation that the former slave master most likely had in mind was that of not wanting to lose all of his labor force. He knew that the former slaves were necessary in order to keep his household and business running, but he was also aware of the fact that he did not want to treat the men fairly or pay them a good wage, so he needed to scare them in order to force them to stay.
