Answer:

Side of a rhombus = 8 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : One angle of a rhombus measures 108°, and the shorter diagonal is 9 inches long.

To find :  Approximately how long is the side of the rhombus.

Solution : We have given that

Angle of a rhombus = 108° .

Shorter diagonal = 9 inches.

By the rhombus properties :

1) All sides of a rhombus are equal.

2) The diagonals of rhombus bisect each other at right angle.

Diagonal of the rhombus divide the rhombus in to four sides .

By the second property : The diagonals of rhombus bisect each other at right angle .

Adjacent side = \frac{9}{2} = 4.5 in.

Hypotenuse is a sides of rhombus.

Then, angle become \frac{108}{2} = 54°. ( Diagonals of a rhombus bisect the angles).

By the cosine ration = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse} .

cos( 54) = \frac{4.5}{hypotenuse} .

0.58778 =  \frac{4.5}{hypotenuse} .

On dividing both sides by 0.58778.

Hypotenuse =  \frac{4.5}{0.58778.} .

Hypotenuse = 7.6559 inches

Approx = 8 inches

Therefore , Side of a rhombus = 8 inches.

Hello,

cos (108°/2)=(9/2) / side
side =(9/2)/cos 54 °=7,655857275...(in)

Answer:

28

Step-by-step explanation:

So in order to get this answer you want to use the combination formula which is \frac{n!}{(n-r)!r!}

Now you want to use the numbers given to you in the problem which is ₈C₂ and plug those into the equation

so your going to have something looking like this \frac{8!}{(8-2)!2!}  now if you have a calculator nearby and you plug in ₈C₂ your going to get 28 which is the answer.

hope this somewhat helps.

Simplify using the distributive property. 5 Marks<br> 1/5(4m+20)<br><br> 9(5/9 y-1/3)
Zarrin [17]

Answer+Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{1}{5} \left( 4m+20\right)  =\frac{4}{5}m + \frac{20}{5} = \frac{4}{5}m + 4

9\left( \frac{5}{4} y-\frac{1}{3} \right)  =\frac{9\times5}{9} y-\frac{9}{3} = 5y - 3
