6. In 532 AD the racing fans riot started. Two rival teams, the Green and Blue, united together because of their common dislike for Justinian. They began to riot.

7. Emperor Theodora was Emperor Justinian's wife. She had great power.

8. The ottoman army led by Sultan mehmed II laid siege to the city. Constantinople by this stage was already underpopulated and dilapidated.

9. Eastern orthodox Catholics and Roman Catholic is the result of the East-West Schism.

There was a deterioration between the East and West because of Charlemagne's crowning.

The churches became more distant because of geography, ignorance and different theologies. Pope Leo and Patriarch Michael ended up excommunicating themselves and their churches.
