When doing assessment for a pregnant woman, there are questions and tests that should be done to assess the mother and fetal well being and also to prevent or know if there are complications. Questions such as the times she has been pregnant and how many are living,term or pre-term or worse was aborted. Also, one should assess if the pregnant woman had pre-natal check ups and lastly to detect complications one should have an ultrasound as early as 11 to 14 weeks.
