Good morning Brainiac

m=n-2

m+4n=8

We need to solve m=n-2 for m

Substitute n-2 for m in m+4n=8

m+4n=8

n-2+4n=8

5n-2=8

Add 2

5n-2+2=8+2

5n=10

Now divide both sides by 5 so we can find the value for n

5n/5=10/5

n=2

Now substitute 2 for n in m=n-2

m=n-2

m=2-2

m=0

Answer:

  • use the HL postulate
  • corresponding angles are congruent; corresponding sides are congruent

Step-by-step explanation:

See below for the marking.

a) Marking the right triangles per the given information, we see that the hypotenuses and one leg are congruent. We can use the HL postulate of congruence to conclude the triangles are congruent.

__

b) ∆CPS ≅ ∆WPD, so the following parts are congruent:

  • ∠C ≅ ∠W
  • ∠P (in ∆CPS) ≅ ∠P (in ∆WPD) — these are vertical angles
  • ∠S ≅ ∠D
  • CP ≅ WP
  • PS ≅ PD
  • CS ≅ WD

If we toss one die 1000 times, how many times would we expect to get a 5?
san4es73 [151]
500/3 times, you set this up 1(representing the 5 on a die)/6(representing the amount of sides on a die) multiplied by 1000(the amount of time you want to toss the die)
