Answer: A. Repetition

Explanation: In these lines from Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven", the poetic device that Poe is using is repetition. Repetition is a literary device in which the author repeats words or phrases to make them memorable. "...some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door", these words are said twice in these lines. The narrator is reading on a bleak December night to forget that his beloved Lenore is dead. Is at midnight when a sudden noise fills him with fear. He tries to convince himself that it is some visitor and nothing more.

Last summer I read a book that I really enjoyed. It was the first time I have ever been so engaged in a story. The book centered around a man who had been shipwrecked on a deserted island. It was an excellent tale, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes an exciting novel.
