First, let's start with the easy portion, the rectangle. To solve for area, you would multiply, Length × Width
26 ft × 20 ft = 520 ft

Next, you would solve for the semi-circle. The equation would be, A = πr²
314.16 = πr²

Now, you would divide the area of the circle by two.
314.16 ÷ 2 = 157.08

The last step would be to add the area of the rectangle and the area of the semi-circle.
520 + 157.08 = 677.08

Your answer would be 677.08 ft²

Sorry to post this so late, I had to go somewhere.

I hope this helps!

The area of the garden will be as follows,
The Area formula of a rectangle is
 A = length x width
The Area formula of a semicircle is
 A = \frac{1}{2}\pir²
Join both these formulas
Total Area = Area of rectangle + Area of semicircle
The two sides are 26 ft and 20 ft
Area of rectangle = 26 x 20 = 520 ft²
Area of semicircle = \frac{1}{2}\pi(10)² {radius is 10 ft since diameter is 20 ft} = \frac{1}{2}(3.14)(10)² = 157 ft²
Total Area = 157 + 520 = 677 ft²

The coordinate plane below represents a city. Points A through F are schools in the city. graph of coordinate plane. Point A is
Firlakuza [10]
Part A;
There are many system of inequalities that can be created such that only contain points C and F in the overlapping shaded regions.

Any system of inequalities which is satisfied by (2, 2) and (3, 4) but is not stisfied by (-3, -4), (-4, 3), (1, -2) and (5, -4) can serve.

An example of such system of equation is
x > 0
y > 0
The system of equation above represent all the points in the first quadrant of the coordinate system.
The area above the x-axis and to the right of the y-axis is shaded.

Part 2:
It can be verified that points C and F are solutions to the system of inequalities above by substituting the coordinates of points C and F into the system of equations and see whether they are true.

Substituting C(2, 2) into the system we have:
2 > 0
2 > 0
as can be seen the two inequalities above are true, hence point C is a solution to the set of inequalities.

Part C:
Given that Natalie can only attend a school in her designated zone and that Natalie's zone is defined by y < −2x + 2.

To identify the schools that Natalie is allowed to attend, we substitute the coordinates of the points A to F into the inequality defining Natalie's zone.

For point A(-3, -4): -4 < -2(-3) + 2; -4 < 6 + 2; -4 < 8 which is true

For point B(-4, 3): 3 < -2(-4) + 2; 3 < 8 + 2; 3 < 10 which is true

For point C(2, 2): 2 < -2(2) + 2; 2 < -4 + 2; 2 < -2 which is false

For point D(1, -2): -2 < -2(1) + 2; -2 < -2 + 2; -2 < 0 which is true

For point E(5, -4): -4 < -2(5) + 2; -4 < -10 + 2; -4 < -8 which is false

For point F(3, 4): 4 < -2(3) + 2; 4 < -6 + 2; 4 < -4 which is false

Therefore, the schools that Natalie is allowed to attend are the schools at point A, B and D.

Find value of x please
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

144º

Step-by-step explanation:

In a octagon there are 8 total sides. And the angles added up all together should equal 1080º.

136 + 132 + 129 + 116 + 158 + 141 + 124 = 936

1080 - 936 = 144

x = 144º

In a bag of red and yellow cookies, the ratio of red cookies to yellow cookies is 4:5. If the bag contains 80 yellow cookies, ho
svlad2 [7]
There would be 64, because if there are 4/5 as many red cookies as yellow cookie, then you divide the amount of yellow cookies, in this case 80, by five, which is 16. So if 1/5 is 16 then multiply it by 4 to find what 4/5 equals: 16 x 4 = 64
