Hi,

Work:

Equation;

35 - 3 \times  {10}^{2}  \div 20
1. Write division as fraction.

35 -  \frac{3 \times  {10}^{2} }{20}

2. Evaluate the power of 10².

35 -  \frac{3 \times 100}{20}

3. Reduce the fraction with 20.

35 -  \frac{3 \times   100}{20}  = 35 - 3 \times 5

4. Multiply.

35 - 15

5. Finally subtract and RESULT.

35 - 15 = 20

Hope this helps.

The denominator of a fraction in the simplest form is greater than the numerator by 1. If 4 is added to the numerator, and 3 is
Fantom [35]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original fraction is: x/ x-1

And we have that:

  • 4 is added to the numerator => new numerator is: x+4
  • 3 is subtracted from the denominator => new denominator is: x -1-3 = x -4

the fraction itself is increased by 2\frac{1}{6}

<=> \frac{x}{x-1} *2\frac{1}{6} = \frac{x+4}{x-4}

<=> 7x^{2} -70x +24 = 0

Solve for X then we substitue into the original fraction

Given that set A has 48 elements and set B has 21 elements, determine each of the following. (a) The maximum possible number of
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:  The required answers are

(a) 69,  (b) 21,  (c) 21  and  (d) 0.

Step-by-step explanation:  We are given that the set A has 48 elements and the set B has 21 elements.

(a) To determine the maximum possible number of elements in A ∪ B.

If the sets A and B are disjoint, that is they do not have any common element. Then, A ∩ B = { }   ⇒   n(A ∩ B) = 0.

From set theory, we have

n(A\cup B)=n(A)+n(B)-n(A\cap B)=48+21-0=69.

So, the maximum possible number of elements in  A ∪ B is 69.

(b) To determine the minimum possible number of elements in A ∪ B.

If the set B is a subset of set A, that is all the elements of set B are present in set A. Then,  n(A ∩ B) = 21.

From set theory, we have

n(A\cup B)=n(A)+n(B)-n(A\cap B)=48+21-21=48.

So, the minimum possible number of elements in  A ∪ B is 21.

(c) To determine the maximum possible number of elements in A ∩ B.

If the set B is a subset of set A, that is all the elements of set B are present in set A. Then, n(A ∩ B) = 21.

So, the maximum possible number of elements in  A ∩ B is 21.

(d) To determine the minimum possible number of elements in A ∩ B.

If the sets A and B are disjoint, that is there is no common element in the sets A and B . Then,  n(A ∩ B) = 0.

So, the maximum possible number of elements in  A ∩ B is 0.

Thus, the required answers are

(a) 69,  (b) 21,  (c) 21  and  (d) 0.

6. The height of a triangle is 2 units more than the base. The area of the triangle is 10 square units. Find
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

4.24

Step-by-step explanation:

First, let's set up the equation: \frac{2+x^2}{2}=10

Next, clear the fraction by multiplying both sides by 2:2*(\frac{2+x^2}{2}=10)=2+x^2=20

Then, subtract 2 from both sides: x^2=18

Finally, take a square root of both sides and round: \sqrt{x^2=18} =(Rounded to the nearest hundredth) 4.24

What are the graphs of y=sinx and y=cosx in the interval from -2 pi to 2 pi?
g100num [7]
I used Excel to create the tables and the graphs.

I attached both the tables and the graphs.

You should replace the numbers of the x-axis (in both graphs) by the numbers as a fraction of pi. Those numbers are also included in the table, so you should not have problems with that.
