Answer:

The answer is <u>Welcome To The World, Baby Girl</u>

Explanation:

The major words in the titles of books, articles, and songs are capitalized.

Short prepositions or the articles "the," "a,"or "an," are not capitalized unless they are the first word in the title.

Sergeu [11.5K]

The statistic in this excerpt supports the idea that humans are not the only one responsible for climate change.  There is a counter position about the exclusive responsibility of the human being towards this.

According  to the excerpt, no scientific body that is considered serious in their investigations, can accept the responsibility from other factors than the human emissions of greenhouse gases.

A report written in the New York Times statrs that

…<em>”The global, long-term warming trend is “unambiguous,” it says, and there is “no convincing alternative explanation” that anything other than humans — the cars we drive, the power plants we operate, the forests we destroy — are to blame….” </em>

<em>…”Scientists said the report’s findings were clear. </em>

<em>“This new report simply confirms what we already knew. Human-caused climate change isn’t just a theory, it’s reality,”… </em>

This means that, there is not a doubt that humans are the responsible for the global warming and its negative effect over the earth.

Les - How do these lines from Eliot's poem make reference to Chaucer's verse, while at the same time making the exact opposite
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

Both commemorate April, but Eliot is negative about April while Chaucer is

positive

Explanation:

Geoffrey Chaucer's (1343-1400) "The Canterbury Tales" (Prologue) starts by mentioning April positively in a sense that in the month of April rain waters the dry ground  (from March) to water flowers' roots. At this happy time people are in good mood, and they want to go on religious pilgrimages.

<em>"Whan that Aprille with his shoures sote </em>

<em>The droghte of Marche hath perced to the rote, </em>

<em>And bathed every veyne in swich licour, </em>

<em>Of which vertu engendred is the flour;"</em>

However T.S Eliot (1888-1965) starts his masterpiece poem "The Waste Land" (1922) by mentioning April negatively by saying;

<em>"APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding </em>

<em>Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing </em>

<em>Memory and desire, stirring </em>

<em>Dull roots with spring rain. </em>

<em>Winter kept us warm, covering </em>

<em>Earth in forgetful snow, feeding </em>

<em>A little life with dried tubers"</em>

Presenting a single or definite interpretation of Waste Land would be injustice to this poem. But in simple words, Eliot means to say that April is the cruelest of the months because life has to come out of its comfort zone (hibernation and sleeping) in winter. April is also cruel because its flowers, rains stir a past memory and create a longing for the past.

What settlement was also founded by religious reformers, but NOT as a break from the Church of England?
uranmaximum [27]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached, we can say the following.

The settlement that was also founded by religious reformers, but NOT as a break from the Church of England, was the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1630.

We are talking about the Puritans, who were reformers too, but in a notorious difference to the Pilgrims,  Puritans were not separatists, they did not separate from the Church of England. They preferred to reform the church from the inside.

So when Puritans founded the Massachusetts Bay Colony, they followed their religious teachings and methods without splitting from the Church of England.
