So we know that:
 2x+3x+4 =25 (this is what the description above says).

we can add the xs and substract 4 from each side.

7x=21.

divide both sides by 7:
x=3 

and now the pieces:

first piece is 2x: 2*x=6.

second piece: 5*x=15 feet.
