Answer:

<u>Width = 2x² ,  Length = 7x² + 3</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the rectangle = 14x⁴ + 6x²

The width of the rectangle (in meters) is equal to the greatest common monomial factor of 14x⁴ and 6x²

Factors of 14: 1 * <u>2</u> * 7

Factors of 6:  1 * <u>2</u> *     *3

∴ The greatest common monomial factor of 14 and 6 = 2

Factors of x⁴: x , x² , x³ , x⁴

Factors of x²: x , x²

∴ The greatest common factor of x⁴ and x² = x²

∴ Width = 2x²

∵ Area = length times  the width

∴ Length = Area/Width

Length = \frac{14x^{4}+6x^2 }{2x^2} =\frac{2x^2*(7x^2+3)}{2x^2} =7x^2+3

Marysya12 [62]

The value of the lower class limit of the 3rd class is; 11.0

<h3>What is the lower class Interval?</h3>

The lower class limit is lowest value of that class interval while upper class limit is highest value of that class interval.

Hours Number of Students

0.0–5.4         12

5.5–10.9         16

11.0–16.4         14

16.5–21.9 11

22.0–27.4 6

Now, the third class interval is 11.0–16.4 and from definition of lower class limit, we can say that the lower class limit of the 3rd class is; 11.0

GEOMETRIC PROBABILITY AID?
viva [34]

Find the area of small and large circles:

A_{small}=\pi r_1^2=\pi \cdot (8.01)^2=64.1601,\\  A_{large}=\pi r_2^2=\pi \cdot (4.02)^2=16.1604.

The area of the shaded region is

A_{shaded}=A_{large}-A_{small}=64.1601-16.1604=47.9997.

Use the geometric probability to determine the probability that randomly selected point will be in the shaded region:

Pr=\dfrac{A_{shaded}}{A_{large}} =\dfrac{47.9997}{64.1601} =0.7481.

In percent 0.7481 is 74.81% and rounded to the nearest tenth is 74.8%.

Answer: 74.8%.
