As a rhetoric ethos must carry the messages of ideals and beliefs peculiar for the addressed community. The main purpose is to plant trust in audience. Good moral standards characterize ethos. In option B, speech-maker mentions the phrases like<em> I have sworn before you and almighty God</em> and <em>solemn oath</em> which describes moral preference of the people and he tries to persuade people with the long-standing belief. We cannot observe these qualities in other answers. Therefore, the correct answer is B.

I think it is B because he is saying he swore it to god. Ethos: having a credible source. Which is the only choice that tries to prove his credibility.

In William Shakespeare's "Sonnet 18," the line best paraphrases to but your youth will never fade.

In "Sonnet 18" Shakespeare tries to compare a fair maiden to a summer's day, but he expresses that there is nothing that compares to her because her perpetual beauty and youth are far greater than such a temporary, inconsistent season.
So, when Shakespeare writes <span>"<span>But thy eternal summer shall not fade,</span>" he is saying that her timeless youth will never fade, unlike the briefness of a summer's day.</span>

fiasKO [112]

Answer:

- Phallic

Explanation:

A psychoanalyst would reflect Amber's and Jerome's issues as displaying fixation at the 'phallic stage' as they display an exhibitionistic and sexually aggressive tendency. Amber has developed the Electra complex(sexual attraction and affection towards male parent or similar) while Jerome develops the Oedipus complex(sexual attraction and love for the female parent) in Freudian terms.

The Phallic stage is the third stage in Freud's theory of psychosexual development. In this stage, the child develops an erotic attraction towards the opposite sex parent and stands as a rival to the same-sex parent. In this case, Jerome is dating the women who are like his mother while Amber dates men of her father's age.
