They are taking action and acknowledging the wrong doing of the past. Although I would not say it is changing because if it was the indigenous people would have their land back and they don’t. They still face a lot of racial discrimination and it took years for the government to apologize for such a brutal incident, the residential schools. The whole main point of them was to wipe out all of the history of the indigenous people.
