marissa [1.9K]
The Coal Strike of 1902 or the Anthracite Coal Strike was a strike by the United Mine Workers of America in the anthracite coal fields of Eastern Pennsylvania.  The strike threatened to shut down winter fuel supplies for the surrounding areas which led to Roosevelt getting involved. He helped to set up a commission to investigate the strike and the conditions that the workers were striking for which helped to end the strike. Which of these are reasons Lincoln hated slavery?
faltersainse [42]

Answer:

Options A, B, C

Hope this helps!

Explanation:

He states this in his quote

"I hate it because it deprives our republican example of its just influence in the world—enables the enemies of free institutions, with plausibility, to taunt us as hypocrites—causes the real friends of freedom to doubt our sincerity, and especially because it forces so many really good men amongst ourselves into an open war with the very fundamental principles of civil liberty."

—Abraham Lincoln
