Answer: B cells can be influenced by genetic factors

Explanation: Daren has sickle cell disease. Sickle cell disorder is a kind of disease that affects the hemoglobin in the red blood cells. Hemoglobin, is a molecule in red blood cells that delivers oxygen to cells throughout the body. People with Sickle cell disorder have hemoglobin molecules called hemoglobin S, which distort the shape of the red blood cells. A normal red blood cell has a disc shape but people with sickle cell like Daren have their red blood cells and distorted into a sickle, or crescent, shape

Imported plants and animals in Hawaii have
inessss [21]

When a non-native or a foreign plant or animal is introduced in a new area, it affects the survival of the native animals that dwell there. The non-native plant or animal will compete with the native species for nutrients, water, space, food and shelter. Since the non-native animals will lack natural predators in the new habitat, they'll thrive in number. This uncontrolled competition of the non-native species with the native species will eventually leading to the death of the native species.

2. How could one change in a DNA nucleotide alter the formation of the translated protein
vichka [17]

Answer AND Explanation:

Proteins are formed from the translation of mRNA  to amino acid. Each set of 3 nucleotides make up a codon that codes for a specific amino acid. Frameshift mutations can also impact the formation of the protein.  A change in a nucleotide does not always change the amino acid or protein because some amino acids have more than one set of 3 nucleotides that code for them. Valine, for example, is coded for by GUU, GUC, GUA and GUG. A change in the last nucleotide wouldn't affect the amino acid formed. However,GAG codes for glutamic acid.

Which food is at a temperature that allows bacteria to grow well ? A) a roast at 125•F (52•c) B) hamburgers at 165•f (74•c) C) p
Lilit [14]

The correct answer is A) A roast at 125°F (52°C)

Explanation:

In general terms, bacteria thrive at warm temperatures; this means bacterial growth is lower at extremely hot/cold temperatures, but it is higher at warm or medium temperatures. Indeed, the ideal temperature for bacteria to develop and reproduce is between 4° C and 60°C. This implies from the options given the roast at 52°C represents an ideal temperature for the growth of bacteria. Also, other options include temperatures above 60°C, and therefore do not allow bacteria to grow well.
