ANSWER QUICKLY!!! Sal's Sandwich Shop sells wraps and sandwiches as part of its lunch specials. The profit on every sandwich is

$2, and the profit on every wrap is $3. Sal made a profit of $1,470 from lunch specials last month. The equation 2x + 3y = 1,470 represents Sal's profits last month, where x is the number of sandwich lunch specials sold and y is the number of wrap lunch specials sold.
(QUESTION!!!)--->Graph the function. On the graph, make sure to label the intercepts. You may graph your equation by hand on a piece of paper and scan your work or you may use graphing technology.

1. 2x + 3y = 1470

   3y = -2x + 1470

   y = -2/3x + 490 <== slope intercept form

==================

2. y = -2/3x + 490....slope = -2/3.....y int = (0,490)

   to graph, start at (0,490)....since the slope is -2/3, we will go down 2       spaces, then to the right 3 spaces, then down 2 spaces, and to the right 3 spaces. It helps to find the x int which can be found by subbing in 0 for y into the equation and finding x. So ur x int is (735,0)...this is where ur line should cross the x axis.

===================

3. function notation : f(x) = -2/3x + 490...not sure how to explain the meaning...sorry

===================

4. graph the function....it will be the same line as the graph I explained before...y = -2/3x + 490

y int = (0,490)

x int = (735,0)

===================

5. original :                            new :

   2x + 3y = 1470                 2x + 3y = 1593

   3y = -2x + 1470                3y = -2x + 1593

    y = -2/3x + 490                y = -2/3x + 531

similarities : Both of these equations will have the same slope, which is -2/3. Both lines are descending. Both lines are parallel to each other.

differences : These lines will have different x and y intercepts

y = -2/3x + 490 : y int = (0,490), x int = (735,0)

y = -2/3x + 531 : y int = (0,531), x int = (796.5,0)

======================

6. pick 2 points on the line.....(0,300) and (450,0)

find the slope using the slope formula : slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

(0,300)....x1 = 0 and y1 = 300

(450,0)...x2 = 450 and y2 = 0

now we sub and find the slope

slope = (0 - 300) / (450 - 0) = -300/450 reduces to -2/3

now we use y = mx + b

slope(m) = -2/3

use either of ur points...(450,0)...x = 450 and y = 0

now sub and find b, the y int

0 = -2/3(450) + b

0 = - 300 + b

300 = b

so ur equation is : y = -2/3x + 300....or  2x + 3y = 900

A line contains the points (3,9) and (-1,1) what is the equation of the line?
kirza4 [7]
To find the equation of a line using two given set of points, you must first find slope. To do so, we must use the slope formula:
y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

In this case:
1 - 9 / -1 - 3 = -8 / -4
- 8 / -4 = 2 (simplified)

Now we can use the point-slope formula:
y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 1 = 2(x + 1 )
y - 1 = 2x + 2
y = 2x + 3

In order to make 3x - y = 6 in slope intercept form, we must isolate y.

- y = -3x + 6
Note: y cannot be negative, so we'll multiply both sides by -1
( -1 ) - y = - 3x + 6 ( -1 ) = y = 3x -6

Round 76070.7376413 to 2 decimal places
lakkis [162]
<h3>Answer:</h3><h2>76,070.74</h2><h3>Step-by-step explanation:</h3>

When you round decimals, your looking at the place value, then your looking at the place value next to it.

<u>If you see a number that is 0 - 4 behind the place value your rounding to, you do nothing to the place value.</u>

<u>If you see a number that is 5 - 9 behind the place value your rounding to, you add one to the place value.</u>

<h3><u>Example 1:</u></h3>

Round the Number 71.25 to the <u>Tenths place.</u>

<u>When we go to the place value, Tenths, we go behind the Tenths place value:</u>

71.<em>2</em><u>5</u>

<u>2 is the Tenths place value, 5 is the place value behind the Tenths place value.</u>

<u>Since 5 is able to be rounded up, you add one to the tenths place.</u>

<u>It should be rounded to 71.3. There cannot be numbers where you've rounded, just zeroes.</u>

<h3><u>Example 2:</u></h3>

Round the Number <u>3,345.8493</u> to the <u>Thousands place.</u>

3 is the Thousands place, 3 is the place value behind the Thousands place value.

3 is not in between 5 - 9. So, the rounded answer is 3,000.

When numbers behind the Place Value cannot round the Thousands place value, it turns into zeroes too.

Answer:

Round  76070.7376413 to the Hundredths place value.

The 3 is the Hundredths place value, the 7 is the place value behind the Hundredths place value.

7 qualifies for the numbers 5 - 9.

Therefore, you add 1 to the hundredths place value.

Your final answer is (76,070.74)

Best of Luck to you.

Rewrite the Cartesian equation y=-3 as a polar equation.
andreev551 [17]

r

sin

θ

=

−

Explanation:

Imagine we have a point

P

with Rectangular (also called Cartesian) coordinates

(

x

,

y

)

and Polar coordinates

(

r

,

θ

)

.

The following diagram will help us visualise the situation better:

https://keisan.casio.com/exec/system/1223526375

https://keisan.casio.com/exec/system/1223526375

We can see that a right triangle is formed with sides

x

,

y

and

r

, as well as an angle

θ

.

We have to find the relation between the Cartesian and Polar coordinates, respectively.

By Pythagora's theorem, we get the result

r

2

=

x

2

+

y

2

The only properties we can say about

θ

are its trigonometric functions:

sin

θ

=

y

/

r

⇒

y

=

r

sin

θ

cos

θ

=

x

/

r

⇒

x

=

r

cos

θ

So we have the following relations:

⎧

⎪

⎨

⎪

⎩

r

2

=

x

2

+

y

2

y

=

r

sin

θ

x

=

r

cos

θ

Now, we can see that saying

y

=

−

in the Rectangular system is equivalent to say

r

sin

θ
