Answer:

The first type of people that you will have to watch out for very often while using the Highway Transportation system is pedestrians. They are one of the main ones so being cautious and using your defensive driving skills to protect them and yourself is essential. Most times, there is a small sidewalk area for pedestrians to walk on the side of the road. In some cases, there is not, so we as drivers have to be very aware of our surroundings and make them feel safe. As they walk across the street, we must come to a complete stop and drive extremely slowly if they have no place to walk on the highway transportation system. The next type of people you will see very often is motorcyclists. They often can squeeze in between lanes and make sharp turns, so in that case, we must be able to give them enough room and watch out at stops for them to make their turn safely. The last type of people who you will see very often is construction workers. They are often working in between or just outside of lanes, so we must take caution when passing the lanes that they are doing their work in. Driving slowly and/or switching lanes to avoid them are the best and easiest possible ways to avoid any accidental contact with them while they are doing their jobs.

Answer:

Explanation:

1.Pedestrians - Most of pedestrians use to walk on the footpath along side road that keeps them on a safe side. But there are places without footpath along side road, in that case they have to walk on the road itself. Here, we need to take care for them. We need to wait in case they are crossing road and also check for them while taking a turn.

2. Cyclists - They travel on road but are tough to figure out. They travel at a slower pace compared to cars. To avoid any accident with them, we are supposed to give them enough space which should be equivalent to a car's space.

3. Motorcyclists - They can pass by very closely and also come between lanes. Most of the things to be considered here are same as that of cyclists. Here also, we need to check for them carefully while taking a turn. Also, need to give them enough space.

Why, do you suppose, mediation is also known as alternative dispute resolution?
miskamm [114]

Answer:

d. Mediation serves as a viable and affordable alternative to court trials and often ends with the same result as would a trial

Explanation:

Mediation is a situation where two different warring party are called together by a third party who had the aim of trying to resolve their differences between them.

The venue of their meetings could be at the mediators house or neutral ground. The major aim of mediation is to avoid the escalation of the issues which could lead to court cases and litigation by both parties involved. Generally, it is a cheaper option of resolving conflicts rather than going through the court processes.
