To solve this, you must add 2/3 + 1/4 + 1/4.
First, convert them all to have common denominators.
2/3 x 4/4= 8/12
1/4 x 3/3= 3/12
1/4 x 3/3= 3/12
Now, add them...
8/12 + 3/12 + 3/12 = 14/12 gallons.
Now, since it's an improper fraction, first lets simplify...
14/12 divided by 2/2 = 7/6
Now, convert 7/6 into a mixed number...
