Read the excerpt from Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Their house was even more elaborate than I expected, a cheerful red-and-whi

te Georgian Colonial mansion, overlooking the bay. The lawn started at the beach and ran toward the front door for a quarter of a mile, jumping over sun-dials and brick walks and burning gardens—finally when it reached the house drifting up the side in bright vines as though from the momentum of its run. The front was broken by a line of French windows, glowing now with reflected gold and wide open to the warm windy afternoon, and Tom Buchanan in riding clothes was standing with his legs apart on the front porch. Based on this description of the Buchanans’ house, what inference can be made about many East Egg residents?

From the excerpt given above, it can be infer that the residents of East Egg are rich, they are able to acquire beautiful homes which are decorated with beautiful things that money can buy; so their homes and environment appear very beautiful and attractive but this is in contrast to their personal characters which are far from attractive. So they use their beautiful surrounding to conceal their unattractive characters.

Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

I believe the correct answer is A) It contrasts uniform society with Equality 7-2521’s vivid thoughts and feelings.

Explanation:

Even though Equality has adopted some social conventions of this collectivist society (such as using only "we" as a personal pronoun, without the individualist "I"), he still manages to retain the only part of himself that nobody can take away - his vivid thoughts, observation, and imagination. Of course, he can only unveil those thoughts in his secret diary, but he hasn't lost them altogether.

The members of the Council, on the other hand, are silent, cold, and devoid of any observable emotions. Their language is laconic (concise, using a bare minimum of words without any speech ornaments such as imagery). It's as if all five of them are identical, with the only difference being the gender.

Denali National park is a proper noun (n) in the sentence "The country's highest mountain, Mount McKinley, is in Denali National Park in Alaska."

Define concrete nouns.

While various philosophical and scientific schools may contest the premise, most people accept that something exists. These physical entities are referred to as concrete nouns. Observed by at least one of the senses (e.g., a rock, a tree, the universe) (for instance, chair, apple, Janet, or atom). On the other hand, abstract nouns are words that denote abstract objects, such as thoughts or concepts (such as justice or hatred). Even though this line of demarcation is occasionally exclusive, some nouns have multiple meanings, including both concrete and abstract ones. Take the noun art, which typically refers to a concept (e.g., Art is an important component of human culture) but in some contexts can also refer to a specific piece of art.
