Answer : There will be two outliers occurring where fibrinogen levels encroach and exceed 4. The two points, where ESR is less than 20 occur at high fibrinogen levels in the blood, the first is the closest point to 4, and the second is beyond a fibrinogen level of 5.

We can assume and deduce the two outliers not only because of the high levels of fibrinogen, but because the globulin levels do not increase as deduced by the other points in the plot.

How is adding and subtracting decimals different from adding and subtracting whole numbers?
Monica [59]
It isn't different, it is very much the same
1-1 = 0
.1-.1 = 0
5.25 - 3.75 = 1.50
1.0005 +1.005 = 2.0055
just make sure to line the decimal places on top of each other <span />

Use the given information to find the minimum sample size required to estimate an unknown population mean μ
Nastasia [14]

Answer:

94

Step-by-step explanation:

Margin of error = E = $ 120

Confidence Level = 95%

The z-score for 95% confidence level from the z-table = z = 1.96

Population standard deviation = σ = $593

Sample size = n  = ?

The formula to calculate the margin of error is:

E=\frac{z \sigma}{\sqrt{n} }

Re-arranging the equation, we get:

\sqrt{n}=\frac{z \sigma}{E}\\\\  n = (\frac{z \sigma}{E})^{2}

Using the given values in above equation, we get:

n=(\frac{1.96 \times 593}{120} )^{2}\\\\ n = 93.8

Rounding of to next higher integer, we get n = 94

Thus, we need a sample size of 94 to estimate an unknown population mean μ
