The correct answer is on the bust of Pallas.

In Poe's famous poem, "The Raven," the protagonist is alone in his room when he hears a knock. It turns out to be a bird, a raven who was knocking on the window to be let it. Once he is, he perches itself on the bust of Pallas, which is quite symbolic in itself. Pallas is goddess of wisdom, according to Greek mythology, so when the raven sat on her sculpture, it started saying 'wise things' to the protagonist.

The protagonist is wondering whether he will ever see his loved one again and whether he will manage to get over her (given that she died), but the raven's only word is Nevermore.

A want is something that is essential for survival, such as food and medical care, and a need is something we desire
Alexxandr [17]
This is false, and the opposite is true!

A want, used as a noun, refers to something that is not necessary, but something that is wanted, desired only.

A need, in contrast, refers to something that is necessary, so it is not merely something that is wanted, but something that is very essential.

Dialogue is not a characteristic of functional text because
sveticcg [70]
A functional text is a text to fulfill a certain function, such as instruction manual or description of getting somewhere. A dialogue would be too confusing and redundant for this purpose; the best functional text would simply describe the information it needs to provide in a clear manner.

you do not need to use a formal writing style when writing a. a letter to your senator. b. a blog entry on your website. c. a re
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

The answer is: b. a blog entry on your website.

Explanation:

The others are formal forms of writing and as such, a formal writing style must be used.

A letter to your senator requires a formal tone. A resume of course requires formal writing. An article for a science magazine is a form of academic writing therefore formal.

A blog post on the other hand, should infuse personality, be light-hearted and engaging. Using a formal tone bores the audience.

A blog is often visited for information, education, entertainment and a whole bunch of reasons. But it is recommended that when writing even informative posts, they should be written in ways the audience will enjoy. This is why formal writing style is not suitable for a blog entry for your website.
