How will the volume of a prism change if its height is multiplied by a scale factor of 4?

Answer:

It will double in size, as M x M x M x M  is simply just 3 changeable values. When we change 4 numbers of a prism (3 changed values ) to all 4 we have a S4 value to the volume, But we didnt do this, applying x 4 to either measurement it can only increase the volume by x 2. We had a one change value SF4 so we have SF 2= double. That means if we have two change value value SF4 we have 3 = 3 x total  increase, if we have a three input change by SF4 we can increase size to 4x total increase.

H=7+44t-16^2
djyliett [7]

Answer:

t_1\approx2.18

t_2\approx0.57

Step-by-step explanation:

h=7+44t-16t^2

27=7+44t-16t^2

0=-20+44t-16t^2

0=-16t^2+44t-20

t=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

t=\frac{-44\pm\sqrt{44^2-4(-16)(-20)}}{2(-16)}

t=\frac{-44\pm\sqrt{1936-1280}}{-32}

t=\frac{-44\pm\sqrt{656}}{-32}

t=\frac{-44\pm4\sqrt{41}}{-32}

t=\frac{11}{8}\pm\frac{\sqrt{41}}{8}

t_1\approx2.18

t_2\approx0.57
