Answer:

Septima Poinsette (she acquired the Clark surname when she married and kept it after becoming a widow), was an African-American educator and civil rights activist born in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1898. Her parents were slaves and they worked hard to get her to receive education in a school where African Americans were accepted.

However, at the time Septima lived, racial segregation was on the rise despite the fact that slavery had already been abolished. In addition, she experienced discrimination when, after studying to become a teacher, she was denied to work in her hometown because it was prohibited for people of African descent.

It was there where she began her struggle for civil rights and the elimination of racial discrimination. She started by collecting signatures to repeal the prohibition that had against people of color to teach in schools, she achieved Charleston black teachers received equal pay as other teachers of the same category, taught courses of literacy and citizenship, as well as workshops to learn about civil rights, duties and other fundamental laws.

So, she fought hard during her life for equality and for teaching black people to defend themselves civically against the laws that prevented them from voting and doing other activities.

What led to the formation of political parties?
Virty [35]

The answer is B: The writers of the Constitution disagreed on ideology.

The first party ever made in the U.S. was the Federalist, in 1787. Being led by Alexander Hamilton and other leaders (mainly bankers, northern businessmen, merchants, etc), they promoted the belief that Constitution was open to interpretation, thus the government had "unmentioned rights" to have additional powers, and also found necessary a strong national government and a national bank, as well as a good relationship with England.

However, a lot of people disagreed on his policies especially planters, small farmers, and artisans, therefore around a year later The Democratic-Republican party was made, led by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. They strongly opposed to the Federalist interpretation of the Constitution as well as the idea of a strong government and leaned to give more power to the states and local governments instead. In contrast, they preferred to have a good relationship with France, and not Britain.

why might a sanction against the use of chemical or biological weapons be part of the Geneva conventions
Elena-2011 [213]
One of the main reasons why a sanction against the use of chemical or biological weapons be part of the Geneva conventions is because these types of weapons proved to be extremely terrible and torturous in warfare, and no country wanted their citizens exposed to such weapons. <span><span>
