Answer:

A. They feared the consequences of African Americans having political power.

Explanation:

To disenfranchise means to take away a person's right to vote. This was always an issue with African Americans during the Reconstruction. The Southern Democrats were worried that giving the African Americans the right to vote would encourage their participation in politics, which would in turn challenge their political strategies and policies. The Democrats did everything they could to prevent black men from registering to vote despite the fact that the 15th Amendment gave them suffrage.

Degger [83]
The idea of "no taxation without representation" was one of the policies that contributed to the American colonists rebellion. The British government taxed several different commodities such as sugar, paper, lead, tea, etc. These acts, like the Sugar Act and Stamp Act, were met by fierce opposition from the colonists.

Two ways describing why people immigrated to the United States in the 19th century and two difficulties immigrants faced in leav
ruslelena [56]
I believe that immigrants migrated to the United States because of the abundance of resources and work opportunities. Many also fled from wars and sought safety for their families and themselves. Difficulties that immigrants from the 19th century faced ,and still face now, was the idea of Racism and also how society saw them. Many also had trouble finding places to live or people to communicate with. Many formed small groups and communities to stay together with the people of their own race and culture for safety.
