Q4. A simple random sample of size n=180 is obtained from a population whose size=20,000 and whose population proportion with a

Answer:

np = 81  , nQ = 99

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

X - B ( n = 180 , P = 0.45 )

Find:

Sampling distribution has an approximate normal distribution

Computation:

nP & nQ ≥ 5

np = n × p

np = 180 × 0.45

np = 81

nQ = n × (1-p)

nQ = 180 × ( 1 - 0.45 )

nQ = 99

Therefore, sampling\ distribution\ has\ an\ approximately\ normal\ distribution.

Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:1.69*10^12 J

Step-by-step explanation:

From figure above, using triangle ratio

485/755.5=y/l. Cross multiplying 485l=755.5y Divide via 485) hence l= 755.5y/485

Consider a slice volume Vslice= (755.5y/485)^2∆y; recall density =150lb/ft^3

Force slice = 150*755.5^2.y^2.∆y/485^2

From figure 2 in the attachment work done for elementary sclice

Wslice= 150.755.5^2.y^2.∆y.(485-y)/485^2

= (150*755.5^2*y^2)(485-y)∆y/485

To calculate the total work we integrate from y=0 to y= 485

Ie W=[ integral of 150*755.5^2 *y^2(485-y)dy/485] at y=0 and y= 485

Integrating the above

W= 150*755.5^2/485[485*y^3/3-y^4/4] at y= 0 and y=485

W= 150*755.5^2/485(485*485^3/3-484^4/4)-(485.0^3/3-0^4/4)

Can someone pleaseeee answer these.its urgent
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

1) Rolling a 3 is unlikely and rolling a 4 is unlikely too.

2) The probability of niki drawing a green marble is likely and the probability of tom drawing a blue marble is unlikely.

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Since there is only one 3 out of 6 numbers, the probability of that outcome is 1/6, which is low. The same thing goes for throwing a 4.

2) The reason why it is equally likely for niki drawing a green is because there are more green marbles than the other marbles. You could see it as a fraction as well, which is 4/9 Which is very close to one half (4.5). For tom, there are less blue marbles which brings it down to the unlikely spot (fraction = 3/9)

Hopefully this helps, and hopefully it isn't too confusing.
