A lot of things did, in various places around the world. The events that jump out in my mind when those dates are mentioned are these:
<u>May 14th, 1948:</u>
The provisional government of the portion of the British Mandate for Palestine that was designated by the UN partition as reserved for Jewish administration declared that it was becoming a free and independent sovereign nation called Israel.
<u>May 15th, 1948:</u>
The massed armies of Syria, Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq rolled into Israel with big signs on the front of their tanks that read "Oh No You're Not !" .
<span>The Manchus were a federation of various tribes living in China.They ruled China successfully .The massacre of the Manchus on Crab led to their end and they were declared as national minorities. After their defeat Communist China emerged as It was ruled by the communist party of China.</span>
They needed to maintain a certain level of strength for "duties".
March 8th, 1965. President Johnson sent about 3,500 troops to Vietnam.
The Crusades were a series of religious wars between Christians and Muslims started primarily to secure control of holy sites considered sacred by both groups. In all, eight major Crusade expeditions occurred between 1096 and 1291. The bloody, violent and often ruthless conflicts propelled the status of European Christians, making them major players in the fight for land in the Middle East.
