In this story, we learn about how rich countries sometimes dispose of their toxic waste by sending it to third world regions. An example is the case of Italian businessmen leaving drums full of toxic waste in Koko village, Nigeria. If I were the journalist visiting this village, I would describe my experiences something like this:

<em>"I cannot explain how upset I am after visiting Koko Village in Nigeria. I have just learned that this village is holding 18,000 drums of toxic waste because some Italian businessmen do not know how to safely dispose of it. I am overwhelmed and incredibly sad to learn that many people have had health issues because of the drums. Moreover, I am furious to think of how the inequality that exists all over the world is responsible for this tragedy."</em>

According to the keynesian theory of macroeconomics when should government use fisical policy?
Artist 52 [7]

During a depression or an economic downturn. Indeed, Keynes sustained that during a depression or a recession, consumer demand shrinks to its minimum which in turn cause unemployment as factories close because nobody is buying their products and that creates more unemployment which in turn further decreases consumer demand and the system engages in a vicious cycle that further weakens the economy.

Keynes recommended that the only and best solution was to apply a fiscal policy, on in layman’s terms, government spending in massive infrastructure projects that will stimulate economic activity by boosting employment and demand for products and services, both directly and indirectly. However, Keynes also indicated that a reduction or an expansion of the interest rates was necessary as well, depending  in the economic circumstances.

Which option best revises this sentence so that it uses parallel structure? Transportation planner Sarah Reidel believes that co
solmaris [256]

A. Transportation planner Sarah Reidel believes that companies need to encourage employees to take alternate means of transportation, telecommute when possible, and work abbreviated schedules.

Parallel structure is when there is a consistent use of the same grammatical structure. This is especially important when writing a list. In the sentence, the author lists the three things companies can do to help with the transportation problem. The verb structure needs to be the same. Option A is the only choice that has a similar verb structure for encourage, telecommute and work. Other options vary the verb structure sometimes using verbs that end in -ing while others do not. These do not have parallel structure.
