This is because those shown in the photo would have been working at a textile mill back in the 1800's. A) It is most likely not A because this is a large group of african american women (So I think from the photo) and since both groups are minorities, they had few rights back them. Therefore not allowing them to hold primary jobs like those of inventors but instead do labor.
