Whom did the Morrill Land Grant of 1862 most benefit?
Paul [167]

C) Northern states who could use the lands to create colleges serving all US citizens.

The Morrill-Land Grant provided free land from the federal government to build agricultural colleges. This grant program ensured the US was continuing technological advances in agriculture. In doing this it made sure the Mid-west had a viable economy and a place in the US economic system. Many colleges were built with a focus in agriculture, an example is Iowa State.

I NEED HELP ASAP PLEASEEE
Alchen [17]

Answer: Some barriers to voting include time slots, where people may wait in line for some time, which is not feasible for some people. Also, another barrier is the lack of mail-in voting for the people who are incapable of going in person due to personal needs or physical constraints (handicaps for example). A solution to all of these issues would be to allow mail-in voting, solving the time constraint issue and the issue of not being able to show up in person.

How did the Mexican revolution destroy the democratic system in Mexico
irakobra [83]
The Mexican Revolution was meant to end the dictatorship of Porfirio Diaz, and to establish a democratic government for Mexico. Even though democratic elections have been held since the event occured, the democratic system lacks the ideal amount of efficiency. It wasn't necessarily a destruction of the democratic system, however, the opportunity to make the change was definitely there and it was pursued in a poor fashion.
