What happens after genetically modified plasmids are inserted into bacteria?

Biology

After the genetically modified plasmids are inserted into bacteria; the bacteria make proteins from the inserted modified genes.

Explanations;
Plasmids are small, circular strands of DNA that are present in bacterial cells and are capable of self-replication. To add pieces of foreign DNA to bacteria, scientists first package the DNA of interest within the plasmid, and then induce the bacteria to take up the vector. This in turn makes the host bacterium a new, genetically modified organism. Once inside the bacteria, foreign proteins can be made within the bacteria, that is; if the introduced DNA is a gene that encodes a protein, then gene's protein product can be studied by expressing it in the bacteria.

The two main phases of the cell cycle are the cytokinetic phase and interphase
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

Flase

Explanation:

The cell cycle has two major phases: interphase and the mitotic phase. During interphase, the cell grows and DNA is replicated. Usually the cell will divide after mitosis in a process called cytokinetic in which the cytoplasm is divided and two daughter cells are formed.

Black_prince [1.1K]
Possibly, to tell a teacher if they notice if he/she acts like that after the parents have been contacted. You’d have to inform the parents as well, I believe.

What is the effect of catalase on the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide? A. It decreases the activation energy needed to start
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

A. It decreases the activation energy needed to start the reaction.

Explanation:

Catalase is an enzyme found in the cells of organisms exposed to aerobic conditions. It is an enzyme that catalyses the breakdown or decomposition of hydrogen peroxide in the liver to water (H2O) and oxygen (O2).

Catalase, like every other enzyme, operates by binding to the substrate, which in this case is hydrogen peroxide. Catalase then REDUCES or LOWERS the ACTIVATION ENERGY needed to start the reaction.
