Ma sœur s'est mariée l'année dernière = my sister got married last year

Mes grands-parents n'ont pas pu venir pour mon anniversaire =My grandparents couldn't come for my birthday.

Mon petit frère a encore eu de mauvaise notes à l'école = My younger brother has had again bad marks at school.
