Answer:

Some of the authors believe that nowadays, with the rapid advancement in the electronic industry, the demand for books has become a lot low. Many people have lost interest in reading on the whole, while others just read them online. Due to this, the publishing of books has been greatly affected. Many writers have quit writing as the profession does not provide much money or respect nowadays.

However, other authors believe that their is still hope in the future of books and publishers. If the books are interesting, people will be forced to buy it for keeping a copy of the book.

"I believed every word he said." Is this sentence a verb phrase
Talja [164]
No, this sentence is not a verb phrase, because the subject is not part of the verb phrase here.

Here's why. The subject is "I," the verb is "believed," and everything following the verb ("every word he said") forms the object of the verb. By definition, a verb phrase is one verb + its various objects or modifiers. Here, "every word he said" operates as one single object (it's not just one word, it's EVERY word, and it's not just every word, it's every word HE said). But the subject is separate from the verb phrase, so the entire sentence is not a verb phrase (it's a subject + a verb phrase).
